Hello All,
Been lurking around for a while, and decided to intro myself.
My FIL introduced me to 88's 30 years ago. My wife found an unfired 308 and gave it to me our 1st Christmas together. I soon after bought a 284, and then the FIL gave me a 243.
Eventually I acquired a pair of SAKO Finnwolfs in 308 and 7mm-08.
Next, I acquired a pair of model 88's in 308 to experiment with. I had one barreled in 250-3000 for my son a 1st rifle, and then had one done in 6.5x284. They both turned out great.
I always wanted a 358 to add to my small collection, but they have gotten to be cost prohibitive with 2 kids now in college.
So that's it, I like 88s , and will try to post some pics in this thread.

Welcome Huntmaster, You should probably check in at New Member Welcome. I don't have any 88's but I do like them. Merry Christmas!
Too old to be nice, never too old to learn!

Hello HuntMaster! Welcome aboard. We like weapon pics.

Lurking since 2014. A very long lurk.

You have a worthy inventory so far. Purchase a large safe and soldier on.

Hello and welcome from Colorado.

As another 88 Owner I'm interested in seeing your collection. Here's my 88 in .308, a favorite caliber. It's one of my 8 leverguns.

While the Finnwolfs are well made, I like the lines of the 88 better, especially the rear of the receiver where it gently curves down into the stock vice the Finnwolf's slight hump there. Not a big difference but aesthetically, a big thing to me.

Nice 88 Steve. The scope sez the 88 is boss in the woods and on the range.
