Having removed the rear firing pin stop screw, I find that the internal threads will need to be re-tapped. Anyone know the tap size for this? It’s tiny. Thanks for any help or guesses!

I'm not sure we can give you a good guess or correct answer without knowing what gun your talking about model year made would be helpful

Since this is the 1890 forum I thought it would be apparent that I am referring to a Winchester 1890 22 caliber slide action rifle. This version uses two screws referred to as the firing pin stop screws along the left edge of the top face of the bolt. The purpose being to retain the firing pin stop. Model 1906 is similar. The particular question is if anyone can verify the size and thread of said firing pin stop screws. I believe said screws are either #2-56 or #2-64. My eyes arent that good.
Sorry for the confusion.
