Good afternoon!

I'm new to this site so I have not had time to really search around, but I was recently given a Model 72A .22 by my grandfather that was one of his first rifles. We both still use on it on a regular basis, but for his birthday I would like to do some modifications to it.

Does anyone know what scopes may be ideal for the rifle?

Thanks!

P.S. Will post pics soon.

Hi, 72a is a nice 22..

If it doesnt have scope grooves on the rcvr it was made before 1954. Early 72's that dont have any modifications have a little more value but thats relative. A vintage scope would look nice but advancements have made even new scopes so much better. Take it to a gunsmith, have him put weaver blocks on the fcvr and get a nice leupold or burris - 3x9 or 2x7.
