Hi, all,

I recently acquired this rifle and don't know much about antique rifles. Can anyone confirm that this is a model 1873? I would really appreciate any other info.: condition, value, etc. I've uploaded them to Youtube bec. they were too large. (I realize they're dark and will get better ones).

Thanks!!

Hi ya Clauson. Welcome to the forum.

The rifle is a model 73. However, my SWAG is the rifle was refinished some time beyond the box. Value is subjective as many 73 lovers are not warm to refinishing. While others are okay with the procedure.
