Just picked up a model 94, 30 WCF, built in 1907, still in good working order. I would like to know what a safe, tried and true load would be for this old timer. I would like to touch a few rounds off on occasion, nothing heavy, not interesting in pushing any limits.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Randall

I would try 150gr-170 gr. jacketed flat point bullets for 30-30 . If you are planning on using it for hunting, the FTX line of bullets from hornady is also an excellent choice for tubular magazine repeaters. Some people prefer to load cast bullets and there is plenty of data available for them as well. Once you specify a bullet preference I can help you with powder selection and charges to get you started. There is also a huge amount of data available here for jacketed bullets. http://www.wwpowder.com/
