Rick: I got my .25-35 ammunition today!! It is labelled Black Dog Scorey, Montana.

117 gr. Hornady round nose with the correct head stamp, looks to be pretty good but it is expensive over $50 a box of 20, just ordered my dies!

Best reason I know to take up reloading . Get you a Lee hand press and a set of dies + a priming tool and a few cheap Lee small case tools and then all you need is powder, primers and bullets of choice . You can knock that $50 down to $ 5 pretty easy . Maybe somebody on here that shoots 25-35 will be willing to modify some 30-30 cases for you to help you increase your stash of cases . IMR 3031 would probably be a good powder to try . It works good in 30-30 and all the different Mauser cartridges . Red Dot and some Lead bullets would work also , jacketed bullets are hard on old barrel steel intended for lead .

Bob,

I figgured as much , I quoted your post to point out to Rick how much cheaper it is to reload .

Deuce,

I thought you would make the offer to form Rick some cases if he decided to reload . Knew you could be counted on to help a brother out . I'd make him some but 25-35 is not one I load .

Hi, contacted George at Black Dog Ammunition and got 3 boxes of .25x35 for $44 per box of 20 cartridges.

Nice to deal with and happy to find a source for my .25x35.

Thanks

Rick, just to make you mad, a friend of mine just gave me 2 boxes of brand new Winchester .25-35 ammo. 2 good things ,1- more ammo, 2-free!!!

Turns out he sold his father in laws .25-25 rifle and didn't see the ammo 'till the other day.
