I shoot my Mod 97 Goose gun, with 30" barrel and my Model 12 "TRAP" for trap. In fact until I got this gun, I didn't know Win made a model 12 trap with adjustable butt stock as standard equip.
If I knew how I would send pics.

I also have an OLD model 12 that I have given to my son in WYO. The mod 97 is up there also, but the 12 Trap is here with me still;.

Call me late to the party. I'm a new member and couldn't resist the post. I shoot only Winchester in my clay bird excursions. A 101 w/ skeet/skeet and a fitted trap barrel, a dedicated 101 Trap, a Super X Model 1 w/ multiple barrels and an old 1200 Skeet grade. Lov'em all.

Just turned 73 and after some 60+ years shooting I'm down to only Winchesters in my safe. A 101 Trap single barrel. Consistently shoots 23+. I have 2 1200 Skeet grades. A 12 and a 20. Bought the 12 at the Houston Gun Show in 1974 and chased the 20 for 45 years till I found one at an auction in the Florida panhandle. The 20 had been modified to accept thin wall chokes. I recently went 23-24 in skeet with the 20 and shoot consistently 75%+ with both in sporting clays. They're all I'll ever need.

I regularly use mod 42, and mod 12s for pheasants and quail and a mod 12 heavy duck gun for waterfowl. :)

I shoot my 2 bbl pigeon 12 on a regular basis.
im quickly becoming gray and older.
and now I know what its like to be known as the old guy with an old worn out gun.
seems I was taught to be afraid of them when I was younger.
I know why now.
I know my gun.

I try to head out to the skeet range weekly. I alternate between my M42, M23QS .410, M12 20g skt, M21 20g. I also have to include a 870 Wingmaster 28g and a Belgian Superposed Lightning 20g.

Happy new year!

I go to the public one on the east side of the island. It's become more of a social thing.

as long as they still shoot, the social thing is ok.
I use to be a member of a range in conn where they all shot when it opened, and for 5 more hours till closing, all they did was play cards.
id show up and no one would shoot with me. they wouldn't get up from the spades table. so id sit there praying someone would come. sometimes they didn't.
I left the club. many others did too. I call it a spades club now.

Yes, we shoot also. There's a group of 6-8 of us that shoot up to 4-5 rounds together. Hunting stories dominate the conversation between rounds while small talk mixed with a bit of heckling happen while we shoot. The lack of seriousness adds to the fun. Small gauges from 20g-.410 are the norm. A bunch of the guys reload so the cost of shooting is offset.

It's $5 per round for members of the skeet club. I think it's $6 for non-members.

in light of how expensive things are out there, that isn't bad.
