I would like to have your recommendations for a product for preserving the finish on the metal parts of my rifle. I have used Renaissance Wax for many years but have not researched for any improved products for this purpose.

Have you gentlemen found anything better that you would recommend? Or maybe an item which is not a commercial product? I don't need any links or anything, as I can research any product that you might suggest.
Regards,
arlen

Arlen,

I use good old Simoniz paste wax in a yellow can! Never tried the renaissance wax.

Thanks, I will check into this. If I remember correctly (I am old) I do remember some other collectors used Simoniz wax. I had forgotten this.

I think that I found it. It is labeled as Simoniz Original Paste Wax. My first visit to the website did not easily lead to it, but with a little Sherlock time I found it.

That's it! I wear glasses and I clean my lenses every day with it and it removes small surface scratches even. All kinds of uses haha
