This past season the only two shotguns I used in the uplands were a Winchester Model 12 28 gauge and a Winchester/Cooey Model 84 28 gauge. Both worked perfectly.

The 28 gauge Winchester/Cooey I will have owned for 50 years, this coming Christmas of 2017.Still bags game as well as when it and its owned were much younger. :)

Any one else using a 28 gauge Winchester in the field?

Afraid I cannot post pictures. My computer skills are too poor for doing any thing like that. :)

Been using a 28 gauge in the uplands since 1968.Great gauge for that use in my opinion. :)

I have on older single shot Remington .28 ga., all I can say is that even in a very light shotgun, its still a very easy on the shoulder compared to 12 or 20..

That Remington 28 gauge would not happen to be a Model 812 would it?

I 've been using a Model 42 for a number of years and prior to steel shot a 20 ga. model 12 was my primary duck and upland gun. I,ve always wanted a 12 in 28 ga. and found one at a gun show but it was counterfeit, had a browning barrel. but the 42 does the same job and is lighter.

Have a Model 42 myself.Used it for two years back in the mid 80's in the field.I found the .410 "wanting" for field use and went back to the 28 gauge.:)
