Awesome! What are those Model 70 scoped, topped of with.

They both have Zeiss Diavari 3-9X36 scopes now. When I shot the deer with the .270, it had a Leupold 6X on it. I am trying to keep smaller, more traditional sized scopes on these guns, but straight powers, just don't work for me...

Me coming back empty handed during a trip to Vermont, not a very good shot of the rifle.

Here's a chunky little Tennessee 8 pnt I took with my pre '64 F/W in .270 on the first morning it was ever in the woods (the rifle, not the deer!)

Thanks, not the biggest buck around, but I was happy to take something with that rifle. I actually set it up to be a "Jack O'Connor" tribute rifle. Jack's favorite rifle was a M70 F/W, pre '64 in .270 with a fixed 4X scope. Mine is pretty much the same.

My best buck so far taken with my M70 with a 165gr Hornady. I had him mounted and he sits above my TV. I was in a tree stand & heard what I thought was a squirrel behind me and when I turned a little & saw this beautiful buck I got the fever real bad! I could not turn around to shoot without spooking the deer and I shot before the butt was up against my shoulder and this is the result. I will take that kind of bruise any day.
