Posted: Sat Mar 03, 2012 8:24 pmThanks, not the biggest buck around, but I was happy to take something with that rifle. I actually set it up to be a "Jack O'Connor" tribute rifle. Jack's favorite rifle was a M70 F/W, pre '64 in .270 with a fixed 4X scope. Mine is pretty much the same.

Posted: Wed Feb 25, 2015 6:33 pmMy best buck so far taken with my M70 with a 165gr Hornady. I had him mounted and he sits above my TV. I was in a tree stand & heard what I thought was a squirrel behind me and when I turned a little & saw this beautiful buck I got the fever real bad! I could not turn around to shoot without spooking the deer and I shot before the butt was up against my shoulder and this is the result. I will take that kind of bruise any day.
