Hello,

I just inherited my grandfathers collection of about 35 guns and noticed 4 Winchesters in it. I've identified 3 of them, but the 4th is confusing me. There as a Model 94-30, a Model 12 (16 GA), Model 1897 (16GA) and this one. Any idea what it is? And any chance you can verify the others for me? The unknown one is 213xxx for the serial #

Thanks :)

Rich

The first rifle looks to be a Model 1892 takedown Rifle in very nice shape, John M. Browning scaled down the design of his Model 1886 for a smaller, lighter rifle chambered in .32 WCF (.32-20). If these 4 are representative of the rest of the collection you sir are a very lucky man.

thanks for the info..... I'd call these the highlights of the collection with the exception of some of the break aways (like the double barrel LC Smith 10 ga). the rest can be seen here

thanks again and merry christmas

Some have the model numbers hidden under the rear peep sight on the tang.

Looks like a 92 to me also. Those guns are worth some money but I'm sure they have alot of sentimental value to you. Nice collection!
