A new Mod. 70 cal. 30-06 action is stuck in the stock in the lug area and can't be removed. The dealer was contacted and his statement was to contact winchester. Winchester was contacted and they basically said do not return the gun to us, we don't want it.

My question is: Why won't winchester warranty this rifle?

What did Winchester say exactly...? I find it hard to believe they won't honor the warranty on a new rifle. Are they blaming you for trying to remove the action and screwing it up or what...? More info is needed to be explained here...
