Thanks for posting the information. I see the current production 1886 short rifle has the crescent stock. How comfortable is this stock formation in comparison with the butt stock of the 1886 extra light? I am not a collector, just a simple hunter, so field use is the most important factor for me. I am debating between the extra light and the short rifle. Thanks for any information.
