Got this rifle today that has october 1884 patent date on top barrel. I believe the lyman site is covering up the model number but i believe this to be a model 1892. Appears all original--barrel is about 20 inches and has fromt site pinned between two pieces that are part of barrel(as should be) top of hammer is checkered as should be, saddle ring weded together as should be. Some nicks in wood but appears untouched as does blue on gun although faded. The only negative that jumps out is the slight ding in tube. Interested in any feedback u may have and if this barrel is likely original to gun. Thanks--trying to gets pics uploaded but file sizes r too big so trying workaround.
