I just bought a Winchester 1892 Short Rifle in .45 Colt. I want to cast my own boolits for it, it’s at the smiths right now getting the bore slugged. I know every rifles bore can be a little different, but can any of you tell me what the bore diameter normally is on this rifle? I’m hoping it will slug out to a 451 cuz if it does I can use the mould my dad left me, it’s a Lyman 454190, and I can size the boolit to .453, two thousands over bore diameter. if it slugs out to .452 I’ll have to get another mould.
Thanks,
Paul

Just use soft lead like wheel weights and close to max load and it will expand into the bore.
