I am having trouble tracking down how old your Winchester Model 94 ranger compact in .44 magnum but I have a feeling that was made in the 1960s. The blueing looks to be in great shape and so does the black walnut stock. Is there any rust anywhere? How is the inside of the barrel look? Below are some links that help answer some of your other questions.
