Greetings fellow 1895 owners. I happen to own a Winchester 1895 takedown, chambered in 30-06. Ran the serial number - 1910. My rifle is kind of unique in that it sported a carbine stock and buttplate. But it has factory-installed target scope blocks (The Winchester oval is struck in front of the rear block), and a three-leafed Sheard sight. I believe it may have sported a tang sight as well. The rifle was in tough shape when I acquired it. I had a new stock and forend milled for it based on my specifications (LOP). Feathered crotchwood. It is beautiful. I did the final finish myself - handrubbed of course. The metal restoration was done by Dan Printz from the FiringPin, LLC out of North Carolina. He does traditional case coloring and rust blue. My 1895 is a stunning example of craftsmanship and restoration. Hope to get to know you guys and gals as time goes on.

No pictures? Grand-dad had a '95 in .30-06, my brother got it, I got the revolvers, a Colt New Service .45 Colt from his bear trapping days, and a S&W M&P .38Spl. from his tenure as constable.

Welcome aboard!

Krag96 I got to agree! No pictures! That's like taking a kid into a candy store and saying don't look . Swampy you know there is and old saying that goes "no pictures or it didn't happen"!

Ok you guys, I have photos! But, how do I go about adding them? I am computer-literate, just new to this forum.

I tried to add a photo but it says board attachment quota has been reached. Now what?

Swampy I posted some suggestions on another one of your posts about photos and such and reaching a so-called limit/quota.

I use this place to resize my photos https://www.freeonlinephotoeditor.com/ cost nothing they do not download anything. You just upload a pic, resize it, and copy the IMG link and past into the post you are making and wholla.
