I have a Winchester featherweight in 223 Remington, but I haven't seen any others. Any idea how many were made in 223 Remington? The serial on my gun is G1933XXX. Any additional info would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Winchester Owners Forum Okvet03 !!

My reference books do not give any totals for that particular rifle in that particular caliber...

I wouldn't go that far...just not something you see everyday because of the proliferation of other platforms chambered for that cartridge...

AR-15's comes to mind...Ruger Mini-14's...etc

I found a Featherweight in 223 at Cabelas. I had a hard time walking away from it as it looked almost new and was $425.

Can never have too many small bores but my safe is full

That's good news. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't rare before I turned it in to a workhorse.

Winchester should be making more Models 70 FWT in lighter calibers. That is the concensus of buyers in places like Kittery Trading Post in Kittery Maine

The single greatest NEED in calibers for the Model 70Featherweight is the .223 Remington. Not one single cartidge addition would get more added sales! I would order TWO!
