Leupold 3x9x40 vari xii compact scope

Ive always bought "standard" size Leupold 3x9x40 scopes for my model 70s. My question is does anyone have experience with the "c" or compact scopes? Are they long enough to sit in the rings of an 06 length action!

No experience with the compact scopes from Leupold...but some member here may know.

Check in the Leupold rifle scope catalog (print or down load version) it will show all the external dimensions including the length of the tube in the ring mounting area.
