Question about a model 70 custom shop 300 WinMag

I have always had and appreciation for quality firearms but have always been a hunter not a collector. I currently own three Winchester model 70's. I recently acquired a Winchester model 70 super grade custom shop 300 WinMag. My intention was to use it for hunting but it has not been fired yet. It's such a beautiful gun I decide to do a little research on it first; but I have been unsuccessful in finding much out.

The serial number is G1XXX. It has the custom shop stamp on the barrel and it has a lot of heavy engraving on the receiver, trigger guard and the bottom plate. The bolt is jeweled and the stock is a beautiful marbled wood with the cheek rest and a leather but pad.

I contacted the Winchester repeating arms historian and he believed it was manufactured in the mid to late 80s but that's all the information he had on it. Basically I would just like to have an idea of its worth not to sell it but to help me decide if I should take it hunting or keep it in the safe. Any wisdom you could share would be greatly appreciated.

We would need to see the stock the engraving the sights wood carving on the gun to put a price on it as different options were offered at different prices
