Description: Harris Bipod Universal Adapter NO. 4. This bipod adapter requires 2 inches of uncluttered barrel for mounting. Fits barrel from .550 inch diameter to .812" Best application is on single shot pistols. Adapter requires 6 inch or longer barrel. the hinged mounting bracket allows bipod legs to fold backward. Perhaps this is my ignorance but do these Harris bipods simply mount to the front sling mount?

Typically the bi-pods mount to the forward sling swivel, unless you rifle does not have one like an AR or AK then you need an adapter.
