Hello all,
Due to increasing medical costs I may have to sell one of my Winchester Model 70's and could really use a hand in estimating approximately what I might be able to fetch for it.
The rifle in question is a pre-WW2, unaltered, factory standard 30'06 Government, Model 70. The serial number is 20032 as marked on the receiver as well as hand inscribed on the bolt. In my opinion the rifle is in 99% condition. The rifling is sharp and it shoots nice tight groups.
I can send pics to anybody who can help, just supply your email address. I tried uploading here but they are too big.
Thanks in advance,
David.

The value will really depend on your location. Here in Ohio a rifle like that would sell for right around $900-1100. Event though it's a pre-war it's in the most common caliber, the wood has some dings, and it's missing the front sight hood. When I was looking at them in Tulsa a few weeks ago they seemed like they were about $200 more than they are here.
