My first post here. I thought about putting it in the Model 1912 forum, but there looks to be very little activity there. Moderators, feel free to move this post if it isn't appropriate here.
I have a very nice one that looks to have been made in early 1913. It has a 22 inch barrel, and I bought it thinking it was cut down. However, even though it has this 22 inch barrel, it is still a very tight full choke. Is it possible that some early model 1912s in fact were made with shorter than standard barrel lengths? The crown and front sight look good to me.
I am attaching some photos of it. The gun doesn't appear to me to have been altered. I don't know how anyone could restore a full choke on a 22 inch barrel.
Thanks very much for your expertise.
