As I said a while back....thanks for taking the helm. A forum can go silly without a strong moderator. Shooter13 is active and forgiving to member wonderings.

Not much to report......temperatures are cooling a bit. Beginning to enjoy high 60s early mornings.

Good afternoon guys. I wanted to agree with you about retirement being good. I retired last October. I actually stay physically busier now than when I was employed but I do thinks I want to do now (well, stuff my wife wants also). Just finished building a small barn. This Georgia humidity is killer! Ya'll have a great day.

Hello sw0596, I accomplished more when I was working 3 jobs than I have as a retiree. Or, so it seems. At this moment I have several projects at various stages of completion. I rotate the projects as I feel the need. I was far more energized when I was younger. Aging its self is a full-time job.

Welcome to the thread SW...!!

Post some pics of that new barn here...!!

The ammo I bought from Dicks is .22LR...and I just added it to the stash Red.

The other ammo from Sportsmans Guide arrives late Saturday...I will probably go to the range next week and report back.

You guys have a great weekend....!!

Completely spent today. Spent half the day (hot) helping one of our church deacons mow the cemetery at the church, then came home and finished caulking the barn before painting. I need to hit the hunting club for some pre season scouting soon. Hope all of you guys have a great weekend.

I have learned that aging is a full-time job. Everything else is drama and weapons.

A friend told me years ago that when you turn 40 years old that some body part hurts when you get up in the morning about 50 percent of the mornings, and when you turn 50 that changes to 100 percent of the mornings. I've found he knew what he was talking about. I still do things that are physical like building, cutting and splitting wood, etc. but I pay in pain at the end of the day but I'll be darned if I'll quit and let it beat me. I guess I'll go until I can't go no more!
