I'm a double-dipping retiree - 1st as a Regular USAF Officer and then from an environmental planning organization in LA County.
The first two firearms I ever bought were a Model 94 30/30 and a Model 12 20ga and I wish I could say I still had them but I passed them along to some younger relatives and I think they are now on either their 4th or 5th owner - still all in the extended family and still be used for hunting in Pennsylvania where I grew up.
I still have an engraved 2-pin Pigeon Model 12 Trap that is in semi-retirement and only gets to the range a couple of times a year.
My biggest interest at the present time are Model 42's and 20ga Model 12's which my wife claims is an addiction rather than a hobby.
I look forward to learning more about Winchester shotguns - especially the 42's.

db...Welcome. USAF in Vandenberg, CA maybe? My first rifle was the M94 in 30-30 too, of which in my possession remains only the first round (case) fired through it. My first shotgun was an M1300, which I still own. It has been through almost 100K rounds, several rebuilds, and one "near miss" (see the Forums for that).
If it was easy, anybody could do it.
