I was informed that I am supposed to introduce myself before I post anything. I failed to read the instructions, again.
I am an old gray-haired warrior that lives in the desert Southwest. Military retiree, airline pilot retiree, J.D., rabid sporting clay shooter who does not have too many shotguns, just not enough safes to put them in.
One of the best things about living in the desert is that the weather is beautiful and you can shoot almost every day. I say almost because during our rainy season, for some unknown reason we call it the "monsoon season", it can get pretty damp at the range. Since our local range is located in the flood plane we get some pretty nasty flash floods across the range. Washes out the roads and access. Also have a significant problem with thieves stealing batteries from our machines. I hear there is a good market south of here.
Anyway, thanks to all for the excellent information on the forum. I mostly deal with shotguns but I do go through several thousand rounds of .45 every year and I have a pretty good assortment of long guns I keep lined up for various purposes.

I suspect the word "Mandatory" does not set well with some folks. Still, few introduce themselves. Maybe I didn't. I don't recall. There is so much mandatory in our everyday lives.
No offense intended to the moderators. They have a big plate to fill here. SHOOTER13 is the only moderator I see posting lately. GOA Life Member
