Why in the first 2 weeks of two a day football practice. I was paired across the line from our teams best blocking, fastest, senior tackle. He didn't think much of me as the year before I was still a runt. Of course, I was rather intimidated. Adrenaline was peaked. So over the next 5 or 6 plays, I made him look really bad. The quarterback and half backs took a beating from my fear. Each hick I thought my life was going to end, because he kept getting more upset each time and eventually told me "I was dead. Finally, because the coaches were trying to get plays in, they screamed at
Him and called him some unflattering names. Finally he said " Coach ! I can touch him he is slippery that a Watermelon Seed. This, the rest of my life I have been the Seedman.
