I have a Winchester model 70 Ranger in 30-06. I know this is a cheaper model 70, but this rifle is a tack driver! Under 1/2" moa at 100yds. I have a Leupold VX-3 3x9x40 on it. My only problem with the rifle is that the stock is ugly. Bad ugly. I would like to know if a model 70 featherweight stock will fit this rifle. I own a sawmill that specializes in black walnut. However I am no wood worker, or I would make my own. I really like the look of the featherweight stock. Just need to know if it will fit my model 70 ranger. If so, where can I get one? If not, where can I find a stock that is comparable? Thank you!
