Old/Newbie From Tampa, FL
Old shooter with 53 years experience (primarily with shotguns) checking in as a newbie to this forum saying Hi from too warm Tampa, FL. My primary interest on this forum is information, pictures and discussions concerning the Winchester Model 21. I still own one in 16 gauge Skeet Grade that I shoot frequently. It has 26 inch barrels with WS1 & WS2 chokes as expected. The factory data letter shows it was made in 1941, and has some very beautiful wood and two forends. The previous owner was a well known gunsmith and made a splinter forend for it because he liked it better than the beavertail that came with the gun from the factory. I agree with him and appreciate how well he matched the wood color and figure. I have previously owned model 21 12 gauge with 3 sets of barrels, Model 12s, and the most reliable auto I have ever encountered, i.e. the Super X 1.
In the Winchester rifle world I have owned Model 64, 94, and an early Model 70.
Look forward to learning much more from fellow Winchester owners.
