Just wanted to drop a quick howdy.
I'm a disabled veteran that lives in central Arkansas. I finally bought a .30-30 after wanting one for 20 years now, and the wife is pretty happy she doesn't have to hear about it anymore. LOL.
I found a deal on a Model 94AE that was made in 1986 (I know I know, not as old as some of y'all's) and for being almost 30 years old, it's in excellent condition. It literally looks like it was just taken out of the box. The action is a little stiff like not many rounds have been run through it in its life. I plan to make it my primary deer hunting rifle since where I hunt, longest shot is about 125yd.
I do plan to reload for it, using 170gr Partition and the Hornady 160gr FTX.
Either way, here's the beauty of a rifle that I found a great deal on. I hope to be able to add to the board and gain some knowledge.

Thanks yall.
I've had a Winchester 1300 since my days at Dyess AFB in Abilene, but this 30/30 I've wanted forever. It was my last missing piece to my collection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
