First Post, New 101 Owner, New to Site
Posted: Sat Nov 28, 2015 7:01 amHello from SW Ohio. In September 2015, I attended an introductory class at my local gun club on trap/skeet/5-stand shooting. After some classroom instruction on the three shooting games, we were given the opportunity to shoot at some clays. I chose to shoot some single trap clays and found it a very interesting game. In October, with wife's OK, I started to research purchase of a trap shotgun. I checked numerous websites, asked questions at my gun club and stopped in at the LGS where I purchased my first 22lr rifle. Spoke with a guy who shoots trap and he handed me a Winchester 101 pigeon trap 12 ga. I loved the look, feel of the shotgun from the start. Later that month, I picked up the shotgun. After cleaning the shotgun, putting lube at the places recommended in the owner's manual I have been able to shoot some trap over the past three weeks and I have had some kind of fun. I am looking forward to learning more about my shotgun and what better place than this website. Thanks for reading my first post.
