I came to this site hoping for some information about a pre 64 M70 I acquired yesterday. I have owned and enjoyed 3 or 4 push feed Model 70s over the years and have been well pleased with their performance. My oldest son still uses his M70 Carbine I bought for him as a teenager.
To be honest, I have a decided preference for M98 Mausers, but this pre 64 M70 is going to move close to the top of my favorites list. Please check out my post in the M70 forum and, if you can help me understand exactly what it is that I have, give me your opinions.
