I recently purchased a legacy Winchester model 94 in 38-55, not fired and still in the box which was made just before production left for Japan. Took a bit to get the lever running smooth but a bit of oil and elbow grease did the trick. I'm using it for NRA lever Action silhouette. I'm amazed how some of these guys can shoot!

This rifle has the rebounding hammer feature and tang safety that we all love to hate. I'm looking on ways to lighten the trigger pull and remove the rebounding hammer. One solution is replacing some lower tang parts from an 1980s era rifle which was before the rebounding hammer was introduced so I may be sending an e-mail or 2 on that.

Its great fun to re load for and shoot!!

Thanks,
Rich
