Just getting interested in antique firearms - researching 1873s - preferably SRC but also rifles. Budget around $4k. Any suggestions appreciated! Best dealers etc? Am I allowed to post guns that are for sale for people’s comments? Thanks

Welcome to Winchester therapy.

1873 SRC are scarce and a tad over priced. Auction sites will give you a feel for price and condition. As you know, the '73 was a tool and was treated as such. Primary concern is the barrel inside condition. Most are pitted with badly worn lands and grooves.
