These bullets are 30-30 friendly, sized to 0.311", and hog hammers at or about 2000 fps. There is no "special" reloading equipment or technique for loading them other than slightly less gunpowder. Consult the 48th Lyman Reloading Manual (online and downloadable) for powder recipes of this bullet.
Aluminum gas check. I don't know which check maker but the 0.008" "coke bottle cap" really sticks when sized. Fit of the of the bullet to the bore is king in cast. While the 30-30 bore diameter is 0.308" to 0.309" it is appropriate to size cast bullets from 0.001" to 0.002" larger in diameter then the barrel groove diameter so that the soft lead will obdurate (seal) against the bore. The powder coat allows a Powder charge similar to jacketed bullet velocity. Recoil is mild. Trajectory and energy are suitable for a 200 yard zero.
