What cocks the Model 141 firing pin on the bolt ?
Posted: Mon Jun 24, 2013 1:47 pmI recently was given a decent model 141 (tube feed through the breech)... but the firing pin on the bolt will not cock. It stays in the "uncocked" position all the time. You can, with great force, grab the end of the bolt and turn the mechanism to arm the firing pin and then it will shoot so the firing pin in there and operational. What in the bolt action turns the end of the bolt and "cocks" the firing pin ? Do I need a new bolt ? Ideas to fix ? Thanks !
