Hello I'm new to this website and I wanted to get a little info on my grandfathers gun. He passed away and left it to me. I will cherish it forever, but wanted to learn more about it. It's a Winchester Model 12 20 Gauge Shotgun. Serial Number 722887. Possibly the year? How rare or common it is. Value? Anything would help. Thanks

The shotgun was made in 1937.As to value I am not sure .The recoil pad appears to be added later and a poly choke on the shotgun.I know these things usually take away from the value from a collectors point of view.
