need help repairing trigger group

inherited a Model 12 made in 1928 and it was caked up inside with old residue. I had to completely disassemble the trigger group. The slide release bar has a single spring that looks like a wire attached. There was another identical wire spring that fell out of the assembly. It looks like it may also attach directly to the release bar. Is the true? How does this bar go back in? How do these springs lay in the assembly? Pictures would be great

Welcome ccvfd. There are several model 12 owners that come by often. You should have relief soon.

You are correct in saying that 1/2" wire belonged on the action release bar. When they come off or break off you need to press the release every time you shoot it. The release for the slide comes when the hammer drops and hits the wire with the machined protrusion on the side of the hammer. Let me also add it can make a dangerous situation when opening and closing the slide, have it repaired asap..
