I have a 94-30 that my father bought new in 1946 (Ser # 1372000). The peculiar thing is that is has a "pistol grip" stock and curved lever (like a deluxe stock). Both the barrel and the receiver have the general stamp plus another matching stamp on each. 25 years ago, a gun dealer told me the extra stamp indicated the modification was made at the factory.(??) This is the only one like this I have ever seen.
The good: We have owned it since new; I doubt it has had more that 40 rounds through it; It was refinished/reblued in 1970.
The bad: It was refinished in 1970.
The last time it was fired was in 1964.
Can anyone verify the year of manufacture? Can anyone confirm the stamp issue? Also, what might the value be?
I am unable to upload any photos. If anyone needs to see them, provide your email on this forum.

The year of manufacture for serial number 1372000 is Between 1943 and 1948..
No factory records are available form 1943 - 1948. (if your father bought it new in 1946 at least that narrows it down to three years.) |

If the pistol grip stock and curved lever is original, you probably have a fancy version. Is the stock checkered? It would be nice to see a picture so it can be determined what you have.
