Greetings all,
New guy here...
I have recently acquired a Win. 1894, .30-30, made in 1923, "Trapper", #923XXX ,w/15" Bbl. ATF has authenticated it and I have the letter of verification.
My question is...is there any forum dedicated to the "old" Trapper models? There is scant information of these rifles and it would be very informative for Win. collectors if individual information could be exchanged?
I know these variations are few and far between but they are out there in closets, barns, or who knows where. I have about 20 assorted "old" pre-64 Win. lever guns and enjoy shooting them regularly at our local club silhouette shoots.
Also, just for misc. info, I've been gunsmithing for about 42 years now and have worked on several hundred of the old Win. lever guns over time.
Looking forward to assorted exchanges if info.
J
