Do I have a 1200 or 1300

I own a Winchester Defender which my Dad gave me before he passed. I am restoring it and found that the ejector is broken and the ejector retainer pin is bent all the way back. I also noticed that there is a hole for an ejector spring. I have seen online that 1200's have the pin and 1300' have the spring. But if you have both what do you have. I have watched the pin video to bend the pin back, can this just be replaced? There is a spot on the outside that looks like it can be punched through and I have found a site that sells the pin. I'm just not sure of the model I even have. The barrel reads "Winchester Defender 2 3/4 or 3" Also my s/n is in the 800,000's Thanks for your feedback

Im pretty sure its a 1300 a call to Winchester would prove it,It should be stamped on the barrel or receiver your model number

i will check out the receiver. The barrel just reads defender, no model number. I tried to post pics but they are too large. I will try to make them smaller. Are you familiar with the retainer pin? Can it just be replaced or will I have to try and bend it back? Thanks for the quick response.

I think its a 1300 was the only one of the 2 that was named "Defender" call Winchester just to be sure.
Have your serial number and your shotgun when you call so you can answer any questions you might have. Winchester 1-800-945-5237. Im willing to bet its a 1300 "Im just a Peckerwood who lives in the hills with too many guns"

Thanks for that info. I called Winchester and the guy said that it was a 1300 but to contact another gun place in Missouri called Midwest Guns. They were pretty knowledgeable. I needed a new ejector and he explained which one to get.
