I bought a model 94 in my teens - some 35 - 40 years ago. I didn't have it in my possession for many years but now have it back and enjoy plinking targets, cans, and pumpkins with my adult sons. One to whom I gave my old 12 gauge and the other to whom I gave my late 1940's Mossberg .22. I'm going to do some coyote hunting and am thinking about getting a .243. Any advice for coyote hunting. I'm from Iowa and today it 2 degrees when I woke up.

Howdy jghorm!! Welcome to this place!
Coyotes and the 243 (model 70 no less) go together like Bacon(Canadian back bacon HAHA) and Eggs! 2 degrees is t-shirt weather! Could write you a novel on Yote tippin as it is a great off season pastime up here in northern Alberta. Cool weather and Feb bring out those breeding yotes by the dozens. You are hunting a hunter, remember that concealment is everything. They are sharp. Watch a few videos from Les Johnston of Predator Quest and you will pick up a lot of stuff from him. Calling works just like the videos show and it is a blast(no pun intended) Rob
